Hello! My name is Kylie Miller and I am an IBCP health science career candidate at Ronald Reagan High School. Here, I am involved with a club called Link Crew where I welcome incoming freshman to our building and give them support during their transition into a new school. Through this process I am able to be reflective and make sure that I put myself in their shoes and try to remember how I felt my freshman year. I also play on the volleyball team and doing this I am able to work on my leadership skills and keeping a positive attitude in some not so great situations. I'm also a certified nursing assistant and through this I am able to be caring with the residents that I work with and try to work with what they need and want that day. Working in end of life care also helps me to be an inquirer by trying to find new ways to meet the needs of my residents while also making sure that they get the care that they need and deserve. I am hoping to soon decide if I want to move into the nursing field or become a firefighter, I am going to be involved in an internship during the summer of 2018 where I will be working as a firefighter so I hope that it will help me finally decide.
